The process can only occur if civil society makes positive efforts that do not confront government. Collaborative efforts are needed,” said Ilham in classroom of School of Electronic Engineering and Informatics, Software Engineering and Data Science Group of ITB.

In this occasion, Daniel Dietrich from Open Knowledge Foundation Germany views the cooperation of NGO and university is very good and often succeeds in other countries, such as experience in Berlin (Germany). ITB, Web Foundation, and Sinergantara spot a very good opportunity for making Bandung Municipality a pioneer of Open Data implementation in Indonesia; and very likely, a champion of Open Data.
